Internships and Student Visa

We want your study abroad experience in London to be as valuable as possible. We offer all of our International Study Abroad students the chance to undertake a credit-earning internship, at a location that is tailored for you. This is a great chance to put international work experience on your CV.

To apply for one of our credit-earning internships you will need to submit the following documents, in addition to completing your Study Abroad application:

  • Internship Application Form
  • A current resume
  • A cover letter, explaining why you are looking to gain experience in that field
  • One professional reference
  • One academic reference

As an international student who is undertaking an internship whilst at LSBU you will need to obtain a Student visa. You will also need to follow these processes if you are studying at LSBU for more than 6 months.

For more information on visas, please visit our Visas and Immigration page.

There are many scholarships across the web for you to apply for as an International Study Abroad student. As a BUTEX affiliated university we are able to offer you the opportunity to apply for the £500 BUTEX International Scholarship – you can find more information about this scholarship here.
